Beta Club

Mission Statement 

The purpose of the National Beta Club shall be to promote the ideals of character, service, and leadership among elementary and secondary school students, to reward meritorious achievement and to encourage and assist students in continuing there education after high school.

How to become a Beta member

Students are evaluated by teachers based on the club’s qualifications and academic requirements. Students are then invited to join the National Junior Beta Club chapter at Collins-Riverside Middle School. Current members will tap eligible students. Students will then have the opportunity to join the club by paying the membership fee.

Qualifications

The qualifications for membership on the part of the student shall be: (a) worthy, moral and ethical character (b) good mentality, (c) creditable achievement, and (d) commendable attitude. Sixth through eighth graders are eligible to be in the National Junior Beta Club. Students are required to have ten service hours a year.

Academic Requirement

Students must maintain a 3.0 grade point average. 

Membership Fees

Beta Club has a membership fee of $25.00 to join.

Meetings

Meetings are held monthly and are led by the Beta Club officers. During meetings we discuss future projects, fundraising, and upcoming social events.

How can parents become involved

Parents can become involved by demonstrating leadership qualities. Parents can also assist with fundraising, program ideas, service projects, and social events.
